About the Journal
UMRAN - Journal of Islamic and Civilizational Studies (EISSN 2289-8204), previously known as International Journal of Islamic and Civilizational Studies, is an online refereed journal published by UTM Press and managed by Islamic Civilization Academy, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
UMRAN firstly published online articles in 2014 with a frequency of three (3) issues per year (March, July and November). It serves as a platform for academics, practitioners, and researchers to publish research findings and disseminate knowledge related to Islamic and Civilizational Studies. This Journal aims to foster academic excellence in the subject area.
UMRAN is a peer-reviewed academic journal that serves as a platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to advance and disseminate knowledge rooted in Islamic perspectives. The journal is committed to promoting scholarship that addresses the intellectual, cultural, social, economic, legal, and spiritual dimensions of Islam and Muslim societies. Through original and interdisciplinary research, UMRAN contributes to the broader discourse on Islam and Muslim Society, within Malaysia, Southeast Asia and globally.
UMRAN is Published by Penerbit UTM Press, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and managed by Academics from Academy of Islamic Civilisation, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
